There we go! Shipping starts tomorrow for the FCC and CE batches, your deliver status on the website will be updated soon.

Now I would like to see how the next point is covered (generally there are big flashes all around other blogs with “Notion Ink delayed” tag). We are tying to pre-pone ALL of the February shipments! So if your status read February, it should be changed to the last week of January. February was suggested to you all because we were not sure of how the FCC will work out (based on which we need to decide on the procurements), and added buffers while giving you the time lines.

We are as excited as you are!

Hi Rohan,

is it true that another pre-order will be offered soon? Some sites are collecting names/addresses for the next pre-order…
Why do you still hesitate to take orders from the public?

Let’s face it, we have put all our trust in a kid. Yea he is very smart but my youngest son (20 yrs. old) who is majoring in engineering at the University of Illinois with a 4.0 grade average and I wouldn’t trust him to feed the dog let alone run a company. Rohan maybe got a little over his head but he is doing the best he knows, and he has made mistakes but I feel he will learn from all of this and the Adam will eventually be a contender in the tablet wars. I too have been very disappointed in all the delays but still within the 6-8 week delivery. Let’s cut him some slack, he will learn and grow from all of this. When we do receive the Adam we will still attack him and question everything, if you didn’t have the money to buy it (lose) with the pre-order then you shouldn’t have ordered it.
Rohan has made so many mistakes but no more than any start up company does, the best thing he can do is quit making silly promises on this blog and only post when he is 100% sure of what he has to say. Greg is one I admire, he has never taken cheap shots and believes in this company and as of now that’s good enough for me.
I want my Adam but I will wait for it and hopefully not bitch when I get it, as I’m sure many of us will do.

  What a thing to say about your son in a public forum ” I wouldn’t trust him to feed the dog let alone run a company”. Why would you have such a negative view about young adults? And Rohan is not a kid, he is a man. You show him, and your son, disrespect by your words. The rest of what followed in your post, is what it is.

I’m 57 yrs. old and yes to me Rohan is a kid, I didn’t say anything against him but I was in support. The dog thing is because when he is home from school he would let the dog starve before he ever thought to feed her, disrespect…..get a life.

Checked my status today and I have changed from 15th-22nd to “Estimated Ship date from factory: 29th January 2011″. This is rather disappointing. Also, is this the ship date from the factory itself or from the reship location in Hong Kong? Again, better communication from Notion Ink here would be appreciated. Under promise, over deliver and communicate effectively!

@Rohan,

I made a comment earlier out of frustration when I found out the shipping date had been moved back for my order. I apologize for that comment, but stand by the frustration as being legitimate. I should have been notified via email, and that would have felt better than finding out when I was looking on the “Order Status” page for my shipping information. You should remember to be proactive with bad news, as it is better to find out directly from the source via direct customer communication.

Sorry guys but I do not understand why you are upset about the schedule shift.
This was absolutely logical!

The FCC / CE approval has taken longer than expected, thus all the estimated delivery dates have a delay of one week. By the way…it was the “estimated” date !!!

Rohan told us that all orders will be finished by end of January and he did not lie.
He has not said that everyone will hold the Adam in his hands by end of January!!

However…i will buy your Pixel Qi with 3G 900/2100 if you don´t want it anymore
